A BLOG ABOUT OPPORTUNITY WITHIN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION
WELCOME!
Dr. Wendy Baker is the Executive Director of Southern New Hampshire University's Division of Special Programs and Advanced Study and SNHU's Vermont Campus. SNHU's Vermont Campus programming serves teachers and leaders throughout Vermont, nationally, and internationally. Specializing in the development of original degree and non-degree programming within the field of education, SNHU's Division of Special Programs and Advanced Study collaborates with nearly fifty partners nationally and internationally in service to the field of education - supporting thousands of students through newly developed, innovative learning opportunities.
Prior to working with SNHU, Wendy served as a Vermont Superintendent, Principal, and member of the VT Agency of Education's School Improvement Team. She began her educational career in 1993 as a middle school humanities teacher in Barnet, VT. She was among the first group of educators in the State to earn recognition from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 1999, and an initial member of Vermont's High Schools on The Move task force, and serves to spark innovative developments within the field of education whenever and wherever she can.

Her current professional interests involve finding ways forward in support of general human potential - especially that of humans within the field of education - students, teachers, leaders, and their community members. This Open Windows Blog is place to share some thinking about ways to find the opportunity under our noses.
